In this section you can find out about the people behind the Plan and how they help you make the most of your pension.

The Howdens Retirement Savings Plan is a Group Flexible Retirement Plan provided by Standard Life.

The Plan has a Governance Committee operated by the Company who meet on a regular basis to review the ongoing operations of the Plan.

Some of the matters we monitor are:

  • The performance of members' funds to ensure that the Standard Life' investment activities remain market competitive;
  • The core range of Standard Life investment funds available to members;
  • Key administration tasks such as the speed and accuracy with which contributions, reach Standard Life and are invested in the members' chosen funds;
  • Provision of accurate and timely information to our employees;
  • Communications and tools available to members;
  • The processes by which members who reach retirement are able to set up, and begin to receive their benefits, and
  • Whether the Plan is being governed in accordance with best practice.

The members who serve on the Committee are:
